RELEASE: First Draft Mania

RELEASE: First Draft Mania

Sadly, I did not finish the first draft of RELEASE last night like I hoped. It didn’t help that I took Friday off from writing, but I gave it a solid shot last night, reaching 10,400 words in about 3 hours. That’s an insane number, even for me. I sat down to write, and disappeared. That’s the only way I can explain it. I’m guessing with how fast my mind was churning out the events, I probably have a zillion typos to fix, but that’s okay, that’s what first drafts are for. I thought I had about 15,000 left, but it turns out it’s a bit more than that. I’ll be working on it later today and all night to hopefully be able to write ‘The End’ on the first draft. Here’s hoping!

Today I want to point you all to Me, My Shelf, And I, where they’re hosting me for My Indie Monday. This is a new meme they’ve started to highlight some of the independent authors they’ve enjoyed. If you haven’t read my books yet, there are two copies of Exiled eBooks up for grabs, a short interview, and guest post by me on why I chose to go Indie vs. Traditional.

Special thanks to the ladies over there for having me, and for giving my a great topic to write about, because right now, my brain is fried with Chase, Rayna, and a lot of Vincent! 🙂

If you have read Exiled, but not Shift, you should get on it, because Release is coming along very quickly, and before you know it, you’ll be thrust back into the adventure with the characters you love, and the ones you love to hate!

Happy Monday!
