Winners, Interviews, and Some Other Stuff

I wanted to say a quick ‘thank you’ to everyone who entered to win a signed copy of Exiled, and/or an eBook. The turnout was great and all winners have been contacted and confirmed. You’re packages will be going out later this week!

Today I’m featured on Obscured Vixen with an author interview containing some questions I haven’t answered before, and with that, is a review of SHIFT! I have to say that it puts a huge smile on my face to see the response to people who are enjoying this series. Draft one of Book 3 is roughly 30% complete, and although things have been really crazy for me lately and I haven’t had as much time to write as I would like, the story is really coming along and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Last week there was another 5-star review for Exiled via Asheley at Into The Hall Of Books. This review made my week, and I was happy to see she enjoyed it so much.
As for titles…I know some people are tired of hearing ‘book 3’ and want to know what it will be called. I’ve been going back and forth on this for a little while now, and I thought I had it picked out. It wasn’t 100%, but I was confident this would be the one, and then some new ideas popped into my head and now I’m indecisive again. There are a few fitting titles for this story, but one of these really represents the story better, and I’ll know which one once the first draft is done.

Also, once the title has been selected, I’ll be getting a jump on the cover. Brainstorming the design is one of my favorite parts of this process. There is something really spectacular about giving your book a face. It’s a representation of the magic inside and I love it. For me, it’s when the process becomes real, and I know I’m going to be holding my book in my hands very soon. That feeling just doesn’t get old.

That’s it for me, for now. I’ll have some more serious blog series posts coming up in the next month, but for right now, I’m a little sporadic. I’ve gone down to part-time at my job for the summer, and since that means staying at home with the kids, I haven’t figured out a schedule just yet. When I do have time that isn’t already devoted to something else, I’m using it to write…or occasionally play Skyrim *ahem* so once I get a schedule in place, I’ll be posting a little more often. Happy Tuesday!

I have to say, I love how you put so much thought and care into your book covers! Your books probably have the best covers I've ever seen out of any self-published books, and that's AWESOME! They're so unique and eye catching. I can't wait to see what you have store for us for the cover of book #3!

    • Thank you, Ashley! I'm not going to lie, I'm absolutely in love with both covers. It's going to be hard to match them, let alone top them, with the third book, but you can be damn sure I'm going to try.

My artist takes my vision to another level. Sometimes it takes a long time to get it where we both want it, but it's always worth the wait!
