The End Is Near

For SHIFT anyways.

I received some awesome feedback from my beta readers over the last week, and as of tonight, I’m back to work on final edits. I’m not anticipating they’ll take me too long, but once they’re set, I can ship my MS off to the editor and begin work on the outline for Book 3.

My cover artist will be starting the cover for SHIFT around the 3rd week of November, and words can’t describe how excited I am for that. It’s possibly one of my favorite parts of the process – giving my book a face!

I had a pretty relaxing weekend celebrating my wonderful wife’s 30th birthday. I went on a bit of a book buying binge for her, as she is a major book addict. Here’s a list of everything I grabbed.

The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa
The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

I also downloaded Summer’s Crossing, but I still need to get Winter’s Passage.

This series has gotten such an overwhelming positive response, I couldn’t settle on giving her just the first book. I’ve heard that would be unfair.

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

Halo by Alexandra Adornetto

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I think that sums it all up, but that’s a solid birthday of reading. She’s pretty excited. Now all she has to do is finish reading SHIFT before I will let her read them. Yes. I’m evil like that.
