Today’s post about my journey to publishing has been put aside. I want everyone to take a moment and send their prayers to all those affected by the tsunami and earthquake in Japan.
Too often in life we take advantage of our own lives. The material things we have, and the people who come in and out of our life are brushed aside like an everyday occurence, and perhaps sometimes a nuisance. We need to remember how lucky we are to be alive and to have the people in our lives we all do. The ones that care for us, that love us unconditionally, and whose everyday actions affect our lives. Every person we meet touches our life and changes its direction, if only subtlety.
My heart, my thoughts, and my prayers are with everyone in Japan. I pray for their safety and swift recovery. To those who were injured, to those that lost loved ones. To the many children who in an instant, lost their loving families and homes and now, have become orphans. To the people who lost children, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and friends.
I hope you too, are sending your love and prayers to them today, and I hope everyone can take a moment out of their day to pray for those in need, and be thankful for the many blessings we each hold in our lives. No matter how small, do not underestimate the act of being kind and generous to everyone you meet.
